The story itself is being narrated to the audience by Ranveer, who is serving Parekh family, the family to which his childhood love, Ishani. belongs. Ishani, who is Ranveer's best friend, doesn't know about his love for her. Ranveer is being forced to play the matchmaker between Chirag and Ishani.
Soon, Ishani comes to know of the real face of Chiragh and breaks her engagement with him. Ranveer is happy when Ishani gets aware of Chirag but at the same time he feels bad for Ishani, as she has started to love Chirag. But fortunately, it wasn't the character of Chirag Ishani was in love with, instead it was the character of Ranveer with whom Ishani has fallen in love but she never realized it until their fate changes. The story also takes a major turn as Parekh family comes to know about Ranveer's love for Ishani. Vaghela family(Kailaash, Ranveer, Amba) is thrown out and left homeless, fearing about Ishani's future. Ishani, who loves Chirag madly, rushes back to him and asks him to forgive her.
The fate changes as the poor Ranveer returns as a rich businessman while the rich Parekh family is left helpless when Harshad Parekh(Ishani's step-father) passes away and Ishani has to work in order to feed her family. Ranveer, who still feels for Ishani, tries to help her in every possible way. Unfortunately, Ishani misunderstands him and lashes at him each time Ranveer wants to help her. However, a kind advice from Ritika, who is Ranveer's good friend and was about to marry him, brings an ultimate twist in Ranveer and Ishani's life. Ranveer marries Ishani when Chirag flees from the wedding.
Soon, Ishani realizes Ranveer's love for her and Chirag's greed for her money. But, the story folds as the loving Ranveer starts to hate Ishani, and the hating Ishani starts to love Ranveer. Ranveer, who thinks Ishani has betrayed him, begins to treat her rudely and reveals his hatred for her. But, Ishani who is deeply in love with Ranveer now, apologizes for doubting him and reveals her love for him. Soon, Ishani proves herself innocent and wins back Ranveer's love. The duo share great love with each other.
However, Ishani is separated from Ranveer once again as she divorces Ranveer in order to save him from the murder attempt of Chiragh. The two lovebirds are broken and helpless. Nevertheless, Ranveer starts to develop hatred for Ishani again and is also forced to marry Ritika. The kind-hearted Ritika turns an antagonist once she falls in love with Chiragh but ends up in killing him, a secret which she never told anyone. The protagonist turned antagonist Ritika wants Ranveer to marry her as she wants a family for her unborn baby from Chiragh.
However, Ishani returns and gets exposed to Ranveer and his family. Worried Ritika reveals her true face to Ishani and even attempts to kill her, but Ishani is saved by Shikhar, who is Ishani's about to be husband. Ishani tries to trap Ritika and to expose her infront of everyone. To succeed so, Ishani gets back to Ranveer and lives with him in order to show Ritika their love for each other and also to reveal her evil face. Soon, Ranveer and his family comes to know about Ishani's intentions and she is kicked out with Shikhar. Ritika, who has succeeded in defeating Ishaani, rejoices. However, Ritika gets exposed too when Ranveer traps her in his mysterious plan. Ritika is prisoned while Ishaani and Ranveer reunite. However at the time when everyone is downstairs, Ranveer finds out that Ishani got kidnapped. Shikhar and Ranveer go in search of her which leads them to suspect Ritika.They meet Ritika in the jail and Ritika tries to convince Ranveer in her cunning ways to suspect Shikhar. Ranveer heartbroken, goes back home where he founds a bag on which is written 'For Ranveer'. He opens to find a box inside in which is Ishani's bangle. He gets a call from the kidnapper which stated for him to bring rupees 20 crore at a specific place.While Ranveer does so , he finds Ishaani . But a bomb has been tied to her due to which she runs away from everyone . Ranveer at last goes and saves Ishaani. After 6 months, Ishaani and Ranveer have been granted a divorce only to get married again . Both Ranveer's and Ishaani's family unite. Parul's love for Krish also prevails Manas to marry her. While the celebrations are going on, its revealed that Ranveer is a two-faced business tycoon . He does illegal business of diamonds also . But that not actually Ranveer . Its just the second personality of him. In the upcoming episodes, it will be revealed that Ranveer used suffer from Multi Personality Disorder which has come back to haunt him after 21 years .
